Dear Class of 2020. Pathways Student, and Parents/Guardians:
We have both great news and not such great news for you.
Based on the feedback we received from the Seniors who took our survey, almost half of our students are in the “high risk” population or have regular contact with members of that same group. The survey went on to indicate that most students felt that they would be unable to maintain the social distancing required by the Oklahoma State Department of Education’s latest guidelines. Therefore, we are required to cancel the Senior Dinner and Prom. We understand that these are significant events and that students, parents, and family members are disappointed in this decision. Honestly, there is no good choice here, and yet we cannot risk the health of our students and of the larger community.
The good news is that we have secured a venue for graduation and can finally confirm a new date and time for the Pathways Class of 2020 graduation. Our graduation will be held at the Winchester Drive-In Theater on June 18th at 8:30 p.m. We’re not 100% sure what this new graduation will look like but we will keep you posted. Please continue to check your email and our Facebook page for details! On that note, if you have not yet submitted your pictures for the Senior Slideshow, please email those to Dr. Klasek ASAP!
We are working on arranging a refund for all eligible students for the cost of Prom and the Senior Dinner which were included in our Senior Class dues. Our goal is to have the refund to you as soon as we possibly can.
